I have Syncthing installed on my Emby server to allow for automatic syncing. While I have no problems with either software, Emby seems to be doing something to the original files and is causing a TON of Syncthing conflicts. This, in turn, causes duplicate files, which makes Emby think there's new files, and only makes matters worse.

How can I tell Emby to not modify original files? What's it even doing? The file sizes are different, but the data and image appear to be the same. Here's a ZIP of the two files in question (tried uploading them straight but they got resized in the process):

Syncthing Conflict Pictures.zip

The two pictures in that ZIP are as follows:

20160312_095332.jpg

3,313,014 bytes

20160312_095332.sync-conflict-20160813-164908.jpg

3,312,956 bytes

Is there a way I can have Emby avoid touching the original file so that Syncthing can sync without issues?

Do you mean pictures in a photo library? We never modify those if that's what you mean.

Hmm, I'll try wiping the Emby folder and re-syncing the pictures. Good news is I have backups of it all! Will report back.

(By the way, I tried editing my other topic to add the "Fixed" thread prefix, but it wouldn't take. Mind doing that for me?)
