Benefits of mono v4.4?

Just wondering what are the benefits of moving to the latest version of mono in regards to emby server?

I've found it much more running stable for running Emby, personally than 4.2 that came with Ubuntu 16.04.  However I've also run into some stability issue with SSL, I think these are related to the build and not mono, but wanted to mention it.

Did you ever figure out whether it was mono or the build that gave you SSL issues?

Well at this point 4.4.2 is going to be our minimum required mono version. We're also seeing great results so far with 4.6.1.5.

I can confirm this, I've been running Emby with mono 4.6.1.5 stable and for the moment 0 issues and everything is working fast and stable!

I haven't confirmed, but I suspect my recent update to 4.6 is behind my

Unable to write data to the transport connection: The socket has been shut down.

errors while trying to transcode to my Shield TV. Direct play works, as does transcoding to the browser. The only reason at this point I think it might be the mono upgrade is timing and this post for the same error. I'll update if I figure out what the problem is.

Update - my issue seems to be related to a broken version of ffmpeg, 3.2.2
