KHTar 6 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I've been using Emby for awhile (since it used to be called MediaBrowser) and I sort of though that through the different iterations this would have been seen or fixed, but recently I found that this known bug is still a bug. I primarily use Emby server on a windows 10 machine and then stream to Android TV version of Emby. On the android TV app, videos with "additional parts" do not show the additional parts. I just checked also on Emby theater which I use occasionally on a laptop and the same thing is true. I know I have correctly named the files and additional files because in the main server interface the additional parts are visible and playable. For whatever reason I cannot see them in both Emby for Android TV and Emby Theater. Thanks for the great product, I'm not sure how easy it is to fix this minor bug but it would be nice to be able to play all parts of a split movie.
Luke 42077 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 We would suggest joining the parts into a single videos. Yes the apps should support it and they will in a future release. But the reason why it's taking so long is that not many people are doing this and that's bumping down the priority level a bit.
Kramerika 18 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 I use MKVMerge from MKVToolNix to merge parts of split movies together into a single file. 2
speechles 2055 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 When there are multiple trailers for a movie, and you click trailers, doesnt it show a list and let you choose which? If so, its not that hard to add these, as they can use the same screen/display-method as trailers, and special features. This would make these apps (the two most used btw, androidtv and et) closer to what the web client can do. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
