I'm using a Amazon Fire Tv tick running the latest Beta (4/8/2016 Ver 1.2.28a) Server Version 3.0.6060.0 running on Ubuntu 14.04

Not sure if this was introduced with the latest release or the previous (3.0.6050) but here goes.

When I watch a TV Episode (in this case an mp4 rip of my box set) it plays fine and at the end I am returned to the screen showing the episode I have just watched and the remaining episodes. If I move down an select the next episode the screen clears and the background for the show is shown but I never get the episode details and this cannot play the next episode. If I leave it long enough I get a blank (grey) screen and I usually have to power cycle the AFTV stick. If I don't wait I can go back to the list of shows and reselect the show but I am unable to play any episodes, I simply get the background again.

In the attached log I played Dexter S03 E08 and was then unable to access and play Episode 9 without restarting the app.

Interestingly I do note that the log has an error timed at 2016-08-09 20:51:54.4479 and 2016-08-09 22:15:37.9152 which appear to be some sort of socket write failure (log attached).

There are no errors reported in the remux or sub-extract log created around these time.

If you need any more info I should be able to get it later today

It sounds like the connection to the server may have been lost. Do you get any on screen messages in the app after 60 seconds or so?

Nope. Nothing.

As I recall there are no messages just the background and eventually a black/dark grey screen.

I'll have a look at the network and server logs over the next few days and see if there is any obvious problem. I'll also try recreating the problem with other files just to make sure it's not a dud rip.

Thanks

So you've only had this problem with one particular episode?  Will that episode load in any other context?

I can't reproduce this...
