Android TV search function

Has anyone else had problems with the search function through Android TV's ever since the search menu was upgraded for other platforms?

 

Ever since the search function showed "Suggestions" (see attachment), the search function through my Android TV has been freezing up the entire app, requiring restart to even play videos located via browse.

 

After the failed search, subsequent videos produce an android volley error. Can't remember specifically, just keep forgetting to post about it. Will reproduce later and post more. Anyone else run into this?

I'm not sure but the android tv search function is independent of what the web app is doing.
