Hey guys,

Just installed everything, the server, the app for Android and for Windows 10 on my Asus.

Everything is fine, except that I cannot have subtitles on the windows app... I thought it was the video file which had a problem but it is not, because my phone can read the subs perfectly.

So that's a annoying problem, anyone has a solution?

Thank's,

Jordan.

During playback, is there a "cc" button on the OSD and no subtitles is displayed when selecting one, or is the button missing completely?

There is the button but if I press it nothing happens, like if there were any subtitles linked to the video...

Are your subtitles, internal or external?  Mine are all external UTF-8 srt files in the naming format "movie title.eng.forced.srt" and when I click [cc] a list of subtitles pops up which I can select from

No no it is internal, that's why it is so strange.... and with my phone everything's fine

I'll mux one internally tonight and see what happens, but ya it should work you would think :)

Well, I just remuxed a subtitle internal and hit play and was able to select my subtitle and it played fine.  I don't have any subtitles other than srt though, so can't test any of the other formats Emby accepts

I saw an episode yesterday and the subtitles did work... SO you are saying it is the format of the subtitle which is not srt extension, that gives the problem?

I don't know for sure, just trying to nail down the issue so that 7 can better trace the problem.  If you have different format subtitles and could try them that may help.  Right now at least on my system srt subtitles seem to work.

How can I do to use external subs when the internal doesn't work?

What kind of subs are the ones not working? (Format)

Actually I don't know, how can I do to figure it out?

Probably the easiest way to tell is use mediainfo from the bottom of the details screen of your movies/episodes.  I've tried internal and external SRT format subtitles successfully on my computer.  Just want to see if the ones you're having problems with are a different format.

Iv'e been having issues with the App displaying SSA Subtitles. They appear in the list when selecting between subtitles, but won't display on screen. Everything with SRT subs works fine, it seems the SSA subs are the problem.

You are not the only one with sub problems. My subs (srt) are not showing too. They do show in every other instance of Emby. I can choose under the CC button for two languages, but they do not show up.

Same problem: In the Windows 10 official app, I see the various subtitles when clicking on CC but subtitles aren't displayed. I don't have problem when using the web browser or the desktop version of Emby Theater.

I tried with ASS, SSA and SRT embeded subtitles in mkv containers.

VOBSUB, PGS and SUB/IDX subtitles are not working. Thats not good because most of my movies are in MKV format from my DVDs and the subtitles in dvds are vobsub. srt is working fine. Also DVD-T subtitles in tv recordings and live tv are not working. All subtitle formats work just fine in Emby web app but not in Ember.
