iPenguin02 5 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Is there a way to access MB3 on the xbox 360? I saw a video of using MBC as an extender? is there a way around that? My current set up is on windows server 2012, with both MB3 and PLEX installed. I am trying to make the transition from PLEX to MB3, but it might take a little more time than i though. I love the features of MB3, but it is lacking in some features that i loved about plex. Such as xbox detecting Plex after the install?
Luke 42077 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 yea we have a dlna server in progress but it's not ready yet.
iPenguin02 5 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I look forward for that launch. What is the current work around to get it to work on Xbox 360 using mb3 on server 2012?
Luke 42077 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 use media browser classic via wmc extender. it's more than a workaround .it's an entire app
iPenguin02 5 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 i cannot get it to work with windows server 2012... any other methods? i do have a windows 8 pc as well. And would it work with media browser theater?
Luke 42077 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 yea. put both mbc and mbt on your windows 8 pc. then you can use mbc from the xbox.
iPenguin02 5 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks for the quick responses, I beginning to love you guys more and more. Plex support was lacking.. both mbc and mbt? I'm assuming my windows 8 pc would need mbc to use with xbox. The mbt is not usable with xbox?
Luke 42077 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 yea you don't need mbt for xbox. i only mentioned it because you asked about it.
iPenguin02 5 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Okay here is the error i am getting when trying to install MBC on my windows 8.1 pc. its a 64 bit system if that matters Error executing - C:\\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe /nostartupanimation/entrypoint:{CE32C570-4BEC-4acb-AD1D-CF47B91DE0B2}\{FC9ABCCC-36CB-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F622} System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception The SYstem Cannot find the file specified
