djon 16 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Hi, for the last few weeks, almost every time I turn on Kodi, Emby starts running: Processing Update and Processing Userdata for 30-70 movies. In the movies folder I can see that the .nfo files keep updating themselves. I don't know exactly what is being updated in them but I think it's the Refresh People task. I just don't get why the same movies keep being changed every day. The people who made the movies can't change every day :-) Is there a bug in this task? EDIT: Just ran Refresh People task twice and the nfo file updates every time, but nothing is changed in them. But since the timestamp changes, I'm pretty sure that's the reason why the Kodi plugin runs the Processing update all the time. Edited August 7, 2016 by djon
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Usually it's the refresh people task. Disable Save image paths within nfo files under emby dashboard > metadata > nfo settings.
Luke 42078 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 The nfo only gets saved if you've enabled saving image paths in nfo's and an image for a person has changed which requires the nfo for media to be re-saved. So if you don't want image paths in nfo files, just do the above as angelblue05 is suggesting.
djon 16 Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 So the Refresh People task keeps downloading the same actor's image since it is being updated every time it runs? I can see the timestamp of the images correspond to the time I last ran the Refresh People task. The image though is of course the same, so why has the timestamp changed? It just downloads them again every time it runs? Where will the actor's images be located if I disable Save image paths within nfo files ?
Luke 42078 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 No, then there must be some other reason for the nfo change in that case.
