dbanas001 1 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Hi everyone, I'm loving all of the features of emby and I feel that it works better on my laptop than plex every did, but I have to admit that I'm getting a bit frustrated. We solved a problem of a specific file not playing, although it plays fine on other devices. Now I'm getting an error every time I try a scan. I removed all of the items in the folders with the intent of adding them one by one. After adding just one file I got the error so I tried another and received the error again (invalid characters). Everything was working fine, I didn't change anything or add any files, and now I get this error no matter what file I add. I've attatched a log file for when I have only one movie file in my movie folder. I would also like to note that this also happens with my tv shows folder. I also did a clean install of emby without any success. I also feel badly that the developers have to keep fixing my problems... Thanks! Log.txt
Luke 42085 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Hi, try grabbing the beta server from the website, then run a library scan and attach the log from that. thanks.
dbanas001 1 Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I installed the beta and the scan ran as normal. The new problem is that it's not playing any files. I'm attaching the logs. I've checked to make sure the external drive is mounted and everything is showing as normal. Log.txt Log-2.txt
Luke 42085 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 It looks like you customized ffmpeg to something that isn't valid. Try downloading a static ffmpeg build from zeranoe and using that.
dbanas001 1 Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I was looking into that as you posted. I thought the file I downloaded looked incorrect. Everything appears to be working now, thanks. I'm glad, too. The streaming quality of Emby works better than Plex ever has. Thanks, again, for all of the help!
