So I just started using the photos option in emby since onedrive is cutting storage down to 5 gigs.  So i had to move all of my pictures from onedrive to my emby server....  Anyway, are there any plans to grab metadata from the pictures to aid in sorting within emby?    I know the photos contain all kinds of good info, GPS location, camera info..   It would be pretty neat to auto group photos by date and stuff like that...

 

Here is a guy that is using a web script to grab all of this info from a picture...   you can test it out on his site  http://regex.info/exif.cgi      I use this to see where peoples pictures were taken...  One of my internet Columbo tricks..    Anyway, if he can do it so can emby!?   Any input?   I know emby isn't really about photos, but just throwing it out there.

Oh it looks like you do grab some of this metadata info!  When i shared a photo GPS location, camera used, and some of that info shows up...  Why cant we see this in our views of the images?  Maybe a popup slider that contains this info, maybe even a little map instead of the GPS cords?  

 

Sorting by date created would be nice for the photos too,  I can only find date added as an option.
