LqHnyBear 23 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 That August update to windows 10 borked my computer so I formatted and started over. On a fresh install of Win 10 Pro 64bit emby is giving me an error while installing. Installation process starts but once the server starts and it tried to open localhost:8096 I get this error. Chrome is working from all other apps I currently have installed, it's only emby having the issue opening it. Any ideas?
LqHnyBear 23 Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) If I manually open the browser and try to go to mycomputername:8096 it tries to load mycomputername:8096/web/wizardstart.html and I get only a grey screen. However if I go to localhost:8096 then localhost:8096/web/wizardstart.html loads and runs. I'm lost for ideas. Also if I set my default browser to something other than chrome it opens with no error it's only chrome doing this and that's my main browser. It worked fine before the format. Luke 42085 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Maybe this will help https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/TCMqawiaVIU
LqHnyBear 23 Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 I've updated to the latest beta build v3.1.89.0 and it now works fine. Something about the latest stable build v3.0.6030 just doesn't like chrome.
Luke 42085 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I doubt that because they are the same thing right now with a different version number. I think there is a problem on your machine that you haven't discovered yet.
LqHnyBear 23 Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 I reinstalled chrome 3 times, Made a new profile in chrome, tried every help article available, reinstalled emby 5 times, nothing worked until I manually opened the page and updated Emby to the beta, upon doing that it just worked.
