More problems playing x265 10 bit files

Just tried to play my Star Wars collection and half won't 1) load and gives me a "Player Encountered ..will re-try" problem and the other half 2) are transcoding whereas they were direct play before.

 

I provided the movie file data below and logs (attached for file not loading) for your reference.  Please help!

On the one that says it will retry, does it then work?

 

On the second one, be sure subs aren't selected.

The one it says will re-try...it retired a couple of times then finally quit and said too many retries.

 

And the second one, I made the default playback not to load subs and still transcoding.  any other ideas?

ok so apparently it is the DTS sound.  I checked the downmix stereo option and the files that were not loading now play but still transcoding.  any ideas on how to get to direct play?

It is not going to be able to direct play when the only sound track available is DTS-HD.  It will have to transcode the audio.

 

What is the device?

Device is Sony Smart TV KDL-75W850C.

 

I could have sworn emby (older version) previously played the files directly with no issues.  Anyway it's not a deal break as I can direct play on VLC but was hoping maybe a solution can be found to direct play.

Try the beta version of the app.  It may make a difference on that device.

I would if I could.  I cannot figure out how to install the beta on my app tv.  it shows up on my google play account on other devises but it doesn't show up on google play on the tv itself.

Okay.  It will be released soon and we'll see if it makes a difference.
