[Bug][Coverart]Choosing "Rounded" as treatment - difference in rounded corners

Coverart plugin treats source images with the same base size (e.g. landscape.jpg as thumb) somehow in different manor when choosing the rounded corner treatment. Affected are so kind of images when treated with rounded corners.

 

 

 

 

Makes the screens look not uniform.

 

 

@@ebr @@Luke BTW great enhancements on the uniform card optics in latest releases. Thanks for that!

 

 

PS: latest dev, but happens for months now.

I can confirm this is the case.

I use this treatment for music artists and see the same difference.

I assume the rounding is applied before the image is resized, that would explain they end up not uniform.

Just my two cents.

 

As a matter of fact, I also use the treatment for actors and the same differences show.

The larger the base image is, the smaller the rounded effect, hence my assumption the image is first rounded and then resized.

First are episodes, second are series thumbs. But one if a kind are different treated.

 

This is a problem long time existing, at least on my two servers.

I see what you are talking about now and it is all about aspect ratio.

@@ebr here is another example with three different presentations of rounded (using People).  Shows the same with or without "Use original art aspect ratio".

 

 

                     300 X 450                                            600 X 750                                       1000 X 1500

 

Image size is a factor

                                        500x281                                                                                   1000x562

In this screen it is not cover art's problem. the poster card layout is applying a background color. if this is undesirable, just switch to the regular poster view.
