bfir3 117 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Can confirm about non-abnormal speeds for older builds of Emby Server. I'm not running on the latest server, and with over 32,000 unique people my refresh people task takes 1-2 minutes tops. @horstepipe: Curious about the 20min vs 16hours. Is the 16 hours on the new build consistent for subsequent people refreshes? Basically does it take 16 hours every time the task runs regardless of if it was last run 1 minute ago?

dcook 299 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 So this is clear that something must have been changed in v3.0.6020 that would cause this issue v3.0.5986 just needed 20 minutes v3.0.6020 needed 16 hours.
softworkz 5066 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 @Luke: Your recent changes looked good - I would have done the same. But unfotunately it didn't solve the problem. So I profiled the application to see what's going on:
Solution softworkz 5066 Posted August 6, 2016 Solution Posted August 6, 2016 I prepared a fix for it. After applying the people refresh task took 7min. Before it was 1h 20min. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/pull/2029 5
Oxide 139 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Big thanks to the peeps behind the scenes, people refresh back to acceptable times now I'm down to 1 hour 17 minutes and 32 seconds from 1 day 7 hours 38 minutes and 34 seconds, that's about 24.5 times faster Edit: Subsequent scan even faster, down to 10 minutes and 54 seconds Edited August 8, 2016 by Oxide
horstepipe 422 Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 No problem found here. Takes a matter of minutes. I'm curious why didn't the problem occur on your server?
