Crestj 68 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Just wondering if the Windows 10 Anniversary edition version of your app will have any extra features or if it's just bug fixes and updating to the new DEV platform? In particular I'm wondering if the player has been improved to be more feature rich, i.e. skip forward / back, seek options, etc.
Vicpa 611 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Hi @Crestj I am one of the testers for the new app. 7Illusions has given the go ahead to start sharing some information. The new app is a complete update for the UWP platform. (Universal Windows). That adds support for two important additional form factors, Windows Phone and Xbox. The UI is new, immersive and fast, playback is great, and even at this stage stability is pretty rock solid. The feature set for the initial release is still be finalized. All I can say is if you have been using the existing app for a while you have seen the features continually refined and expanded. Stay tuned..... -vicpa 2

Nequit 16 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 http://www.windowscentral.com/developer-can-download-windows-10-anniversary-update-sdk In addition, the Dev Center is now accepting apps for the Windows Store that support the Anniversary Update.
FrostByte 5392 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) 7 mentioned to beta testers that the release he sent out today should hit the stores tonight Edit: Compiled using the build 14393 SDK Edited August 2, 2016 by FrostByte
Counterfitninja 6 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 So looking forward to this update.. cannot wait.. Looks awesome
deadonthefloor 4 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Does this mean the ScottLoveGrove one originally for phone will be retired? I bought that one banking on it becoming the UWP version. Oh well, I'll buy this bad boy since it supports phone and xbox as well as PC! This might even get me to get a premiere subscription. Great work 7Illusions!!!!
CBers 7450 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 7 mentioned to beta testers that the release he sent out today should hit the stores tonight Xbox One as well?

7illusions 1249 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 If the Xbox is running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, yes.
Counterfitninja 6 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 If the Xbox is running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, yes. Cannot wait for this... Will all the previous apps update or is this new ?
CBers 7450 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 If the Xbox is running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, yes. Not a massive Xbox One user, so a stupid question, but how would I know?
Vicpa 611 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Since 7 seems a little slow, To busy coding I guess...... Awesome job 7!!!!! Thanks 3
SilentAssassin 96 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Cannot wait for this... Will all the previous apps update or is this new ? The current WinPhone app is from a different developer so it won't update to this. It will likely show as a separate app if you are running Win 10 Mobile anniversary update. Once your normal Win 10 devices are updated to the anniversary update then you should get this new UWP version as it is from the same developer as the current version. 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I think it will update the old 8.1 app if you bought that
Vicpa 611 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 7 should hire you to be his publicist Just trying to earn the "SVU" release 2
FrostByte 5392 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Not a massive Xbox One user, so a stupid question, but how would I know? I believe if the OS is 10.0.14393.1018 then it's the 10A update. I already have it Edit: if you see Cortana then you have the August release Edited August 2, 2016 by FrostByte 1
