hick 2 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) I have ~900 movies, probably half have no genre, some have some but not all genres listed on moviedb. Server Version 3.0.5115.35703 Here is to try #4 to post this...with external link to logs and image of genres, maybe it will work! I installed genre cleaner after I noticed the issue as I wanted a way to find Marvel movies or DC movies. http://imgur.com/CaehNfv http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=107928 Edited January 9, 2014 by hick
hick 2 Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 xXx Gangs of New York Ghostbusters The Grey Hannibal All seem to have all other metadata filled along with their external ID's to imdb and moviedb.

Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Do you have the Genre Cleaner plugin installed? Are the Genres spelled correctly on TMDB? Are the Genres allowed in the Genre Cleaner plugin?

I am not sure where MB gets its genres but themovieDB has 4 for it. Do you have the Genre Cleaner plugin installed? Are the Genres spelled correctly on TMDB? Are the Genres allowed in the Genre Cleaner plugin? Yes Yes Yes, with Genre cleaner was combine Sports and Sports Films and I also Add 3 (marvel movies, DC comics, and Dark Horse Comics. Those 5 were just the first couple I randomly clicked on there are a ton more. I have done a "Scan media library" but am not sure how to force it to rescan all metadata without deleting everything. Edit-It appears something goofy happen, if I go into the editor and "refresh metadata" on a movie it picks them up. So yeah I just need to know how to force that on all movies. Edit #1523 - If I just click Movies I can refresh metadata, I will let this run and come back. Edited January 9, 2014 by hick
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Go to: http://localhost:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/edititemmetadata.html Then select your "Media Folders" on the left and click on "Refresh Metadata". It will only update stuff that is missing in my experience. Repeat for each "Media Folder". Takes a couple of minutes each in my experience. You're mileage may vary depending on your connection. If the genre is allowed it should be added to the movie. 1
hick 2 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Rescan metadata took hours but seems to have done the trick. Maybe my internet died when I did the initial scan?
