Sturmie 1 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 When MB3 was first released, I was told that custom entry points within Windows Media Center were no longer supported (for example, a menu strip icon that goes directly to "Movies")...is this still the case?

Correct. You can't have custom entry points to a specific collection like you could do in MB2
gcw07 347 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Correct. Not officially. Someone did make a work around and it may work, but it is unofficial. Hopefully that will work for you though. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2488-addin-to-launch-specific-mb-profiles-as-workaround-for-entrypoints/
Sturmie 1 Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks for the quick replies...I might give that workaround a shot here soon. Btw, I added a collection called "Kids Shows" on all 3 of my MCE PCs and I was able to modify the MCE interface within Media Center Studio where the "Kids Shows" entry point appeared, however, on one of the MCE PCs, I can't get "Kids Shows" to show up as an entry point option...even though I have "Kids Shows" set up in MB2 and pointed to "V:\Kids Shows" just like the others. I tried rebooting and still no entry point...is there any way to force a "refresh" of those so that I can customize things within Media Center Studio? Just curious.
