In the last week the server has been hammering the disk usage. All the movies in WMC load up fine but one TV series brings everything to a screeching halt. WMC stop responding when I bring the TV series up, so I decided to remove and re add the series and its taking forever to add the episodes, the disk is unusable. It's a on year old western digital black 5tb drive that worked fine until this past week. I downloaded WD disk check utility and it found no problems, drive is zero percent defraged.

This log is one of the first issues. When I entered the TV section in Emby, WMC would show the not responding dialogue.

I am having a similar issue. It takes forever for the cover art to appear. Did something change in regards to how images are handled?

So I go to Movies -> all movies and I'm getting a spinning circle for quite about 30 minutes. The server's CPU (mono process) is used by 50% all the time.

Do you have "Group movies into collections" enabled? Library-Display  If so do you get the same response with it disabled?

What server version number are you on?  There appear to have been some improvements in beta 3.1.68.0.

I don't use kodi so I couldn't say but I would suspect yes.

I'll try 3.1.68

I switched off the group into collections and that worked. Movies pop right up, no waiting.

I re-re-added the TV/Seinfeld folder and no images show up, just generic people. This worked fine up until last week with all the Seinfeld artwork and metadata correct. Also it shows nothing in Emby for WMC when I click on the TV folder. The group into collections was never ticked as far as I know. I'm on the current server.

Been reported, but if you delete the current image the proper one should be generated.

Thanks. So the images are back, but it still says no items. Also the episodes show up in the web gui, but they never play just circle spins.

so I re-scanned the library again, All the metadata is working again. Back to the original issue with Emby for WMC freezing up when I click on the TV library and not resuming again till I cancel the WMC not responding pop up, eventually it enters the series. Logs to follow

I don't see anything very remarkable in those logs other than the fact that the library is being updated and so EMC is attempting to refresh the display for those items and, during that process, it appears it cannot access the image cache folder local to the machine.

How do I fix this?? I'm not sure what I changed that this started happening.

I'm not sure.  Did you manually edit any of your config files?

Not to my knowledge. I found the file with all the images in it. It's still inside the server folder.
