Emby server on Linux crashing roku

I'm having an issue with what o believe is the latest emby server on Ubuntu 14.04 crashing my roku. Whether I use the emby app or the roku media app, anytime I play back a movie using the emby server my roku freezes. If I use another media server program the roku works fine. I've factory reset the roku twice and this does not resolve the issue. How can I resolve this? I like the emby server because of the parental controls. The roku media app shows everything because of the lack of parental controls
