Shield / Emby tv update

With the release of the latest stable i now have audio in my live tv recordings now this http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/35338-aac-latm-audio/page-6&do=findComment&comment=341462 has been fixed. i only get PCM / Dolby PL audio when i think i'm expecting DD+ though

 

the main remaining problem is live tv. HD is not smooth with vlc and no video starts (or if it starts there is no audio or the videos freezes) at all if i disable vlc but direct play regardless of audio settings. this only leaves transcoding on the internal player and unfortunately the picture isnt satisfactory and the wait for the stream to start is frustrating given i know it should direct play.

 

the dvblink theatre app on the Shield plays back smoothly exactly the same dvbt2 HD stream on what i presume is the internal player and video starts immediately.
