RedStripe 14 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Server Version 3.0.5985.0Firefox 47.0.1Windows 7 ProIn order to save space on my SSD C:\ drive, I have moved the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\ to my D:\ drive using a junction to D:\UserName\My ProgData Files\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\. This worked perfectly until I decided to reorganize my D:\ drive by changing the junction to point to D:\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\ (I moved to the folder to the new location). Metadata path settings: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming junctions: Somehow the original junction has been interpreted and is displayed for Music->Artists paths!!!and the artist image, of course, is not displayed. Artist image for erroneous path: Thanks
Luke 42085 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 can you post your server config file? it's system.xml. thanks.
Luke 42085 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Nevermind, I don't need because I can see what I'm looking for based on the presence of MediaBrowser-Server in the path. Servers that were originally installed prior to approximately a year and a half ago will not be able to recover from this type of situation. You need to use the configuration in the web UI to change the paths that you want to change. Newer server installations are able to recover from this by supporting increased portability so that you can pick up and move the program data folder anytime you like. When this feature was added it was a little too risky to add it to the existing installations, so that's why it was new servers only. So your options right now are changing the junction back or do a fresh install.
