I upgraded some shows last tv episodes last night and the old name was Sxxexx and the newer versions are names SxxExx and i didn't run a new scan.

 

I didn't realize the names changed and tried to play then on the Apple TV and it just sat there spinning and spinning. I gave it over a min and nothing happened. Tried again, same thing.

 

I tried again the morning on the web client and it same result, it just sat there spinning and never gave me a message. I then checked the logs and that is how i found out the naming problem.

 

Doing a Library Scan didn't fix it. I had to clean the DB first. I thought a normal library scan would have updated the DB and nfos with the updated names.

 

I understand it's my fault for not running a scan but it should have gave me an error message instead of just sitting there spinning.
