solabc16 379 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Evening I'm raising this here, as our direct observations are from x86_64/i686 packages currently being tested on the Synology platform. It could be a problem elsewhere, we do not know. In short, after updating to v3.0.5984.0 the Web UI is very slow to respond and on occasion is completely unresponsive. Investigation has identified that this is being caused by the first run of the 'Clean Database' task after the upgrade. There is nothing of note as far as CPU and memory utilisation are concerned, and the issue is evident on a wide range a processors. However, disk IO is significant, pushing utilisation and IOPS to abnormally high levels which as a result means we see an associated increase in I/O wait time. As an example, on a system with 30 movies and around 100 TV episodes, the task took 30 minutes on an Intel® Atom CPU C2538 @ 2.40GHz. Best - James -> Mono v4.2.4.4 Edited July 5, 2016 by solabc16
Abobader 3464 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Good day, I see not much on cpu/ram, as the images, but as James above said: My best
Abobader 3464 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Good day, For hours now going, and still on: My best
Luke 42077 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 We'll look into it. Workaround in the meantime is just to allow the database upgrade to finish.

olli4711 2 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Had the same issue. After upgrade web ui was completely unresponsive. After stop/start ui was accessable and Cleanup task finished in 21 minutes.
Solution solabc16 379 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Solution Posted September 10, 2016 Hello All This is resolved in the latest Emby packages for Intel and Marvell based Synology hardware. If you're not sure what processor your box has, you can check here https://github.com/M...ls-by-Processor.To install, follow the instructions under the Synology section here http://emby.media/nas-server.html.Migration from the community edition is supported and there is a wiki article on the process here https://github.com/M...mmunity-Package. - James
