Help migrating from Windows to Docker

Recommended Posts

All,

As the title suggests, I'm migrating from Windows to an UnRAID Docker. I've been using Server Configuration Backup, and I've run a couple of test migrations. Everything seems to work BUT Docker does not want to use my current network paths no matter what I try.

Is there a way to change the library locations so it will keep my current relative paths and hold on to resume settings, import history, and the like?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not absolutely certain, but I'm pretty sure resume, history etc... will transfer even if you just add a new library location.  Once the items are populated into the library again, all those settings are applied.  I know that worked for me with new install and watched/resume status.  Not certain on switching out of windows though.

When changing operating systems i would just go ahead and reconfigure the library paths. I think that is the best approach. Please let us know how it goes. Thanks.

You mean going into the Emby server UI and deleting the old paths/adding new paths within each media library section? Or is there a better way?
