REQ: Individual library refresh

 

Hi. I have a request to add the functionality to refresh individual libraries rather than the entire library collection.

 

Reason: I have multiple libraries; one TV library for each user - so one user does not have to see the other's shows, a joint TV library and a joint movies library. Recently I have added several new TV series requiring a manual library refresh.

 

Method: It would be much, much quicker to scan an individual library if each library has its own refresh option in its three-dot menu. Of course we would still retain the complete library refresh option and scheduler. Also, having individual library refresh would cut down on disk wear.

If I understand you correctly you can already refresh individual libraries already.  Metadata Manager-select your library and click the three dots and refresh

 

 

or

 

Using the Multi-Select option say on the Home menu:  Hold left click until Multi-Select screen opens select library you want to refresh click three dot option top right and select refresh.

 

Note there is no progress bar to follow going this route, and has been discussed before.

Ah. Yeah I forgot about the Metadata screen to perform a refresh.

 

On the Server Settings>Libraries, I didn't realize you could multi-select. Despite that making sense to update selected libraries, it would make more sense to add a refresh option to the three-dot menu that is on each individual library.

Adding a thin progress bar below each individual library would be super helpful too.
