Out of Memory Errors

Having issue's with a friends Emby Server throwing up out of memory errors and eventually becoming totally unresponsive.

System is running official Emby Docker version 3.0.5973.0 on Unraid 6.1.9

System has 4GB's of memory

I've bought the box home for the weekend to get to the bottom of it.  I've found that at some point during the Scan to Library task memory usage starts steadily climbing until eventually the task will crash and oom_killer will start killing off processes.

I have tried deleted library.db and activitylog.db and letting the server rebuild the media library.

I have also installed Emby completely from scratch into a new folder and let it begin the initial library scan.

Some help would be greatly appreciated with this.

Currently check the file systems on all disks at the moment but have found no errors yet.

[Edit]  Looks like it 'may' be fixed.  Friend had quite a few Bluray rips which i have moved into a temporary folder.

Confirmed that this is fixed.  Having Bluray rips in the movie's folder causes Scan to Library to eventually consume all available memory and crash.  I realise these files aren't supported, my friend didnt.. just wasted half a day tracking this down for him..

Hi, do you mean folder rip structures?

That's correct, full folder structure  rips

Well, those are supported as best we can (most HTPC clients can play them) and their existence in the library shouldn't cause what you were experiencing.  So, probably something we want to get to the bottom of...

Yea and also the beta channel is a bit lighter so if you wanted to try that, that would be good feedback for us. thanks.

Ok, at this point you can just use the stable release again. Thanks.
