My server is set to start at launch and it is on 24/7.  I have other things tied into it also that network into my HA system and also use it as a HTPC in my bed room to play movies, BDs, stream Xbox and eventually PS4 once i get a few other things connected.  Today i had to restart the computer and when i did I couldnt connect to EMBY.  I had to log on as an admin (which i should always be since noone else has access to it but if there is a way to do it, I am unaware) for it to start.  Not a big issue but i may eventually run this headless or i may be on the network or something and have it restart making it a pain in the butt.  If it was all windows, hey no problem but some network devices are linux or Mac so it makes it a little more difficult to restart the server remotely.  What error could have happened and also what can i do to fix this?

Hi, if you're running the tray icon then you need to login with the windows user that you installed it with. If you're running the windows service then it will be headless. Does that answer your question?

I recommend running as a service, that way you never have to worry if it started or not.

Just make sure that whatever user you run the service as has access to your library folders.

In my opinion this should be the default configuration, as its the most reliable.

I am brand new to emby. I have installed and am trying to connect to emby thru Roku4 (which I am also new at). When I try to access I get the message "cannot connect to server". I am clueless as to what to do to solve my issue. Is there anyone willing to help me with this?

Hi there, sorry for your troubles. What I would suggest doing if you're having difficulty with Emby Connect is skip it (see the skip button at the bottom of the screen), and then see if the app automatically detects the server on your network. From there it's just a matter of signing in. Let us know how this goes. Thanks!
