Emby can't find server right now

I have the emby app on a Samsung Tab3 tablet, and more recently when I launch the emby appy in another part of my house from the server, I gert the said error message.

I have a NAS box with all my media on in an upstairs room, and have a speaker downstairs that is used to play my music from the NAS box. I have an excellent wifi signal around the house with the aid of a couple of wifi range extenders. I have also downloaded a wifi connection app to check the signal strength around the house. I use my tablet next to the speaker with the inention of streaming music to it, but when I launch the emby app, it can't find the server. If it makesany difference the strenght of the wifi signal next to the speaker is -35dBm.

Also the emby app on my phone cannot connect to the server when next to the router.

The emby app used to able to find the server , and it is running as I checked it. It seems that the emby app is trying to connect to the emby server/NAS box direct??

Hi, have you tried connecting manually by entering the server address? What do you mean exactly by "can't find the server"?

It is the emby app that says it can't find the server, and yes I did manually enter the ip address but no media is showing up. In the left hand side menu, there is a 'Music' item which I tap, then when the window shows up and has a menu of Music, Artists, Albums etc, there nothing underneath them.

So you are and to connect then? What about other sections besides music?

Just rebooted the tablet and now there is no music menu item, but the other sections are still there.

Also there is an advert to try Emby Premiere, which appears as soon as the app opens. I close that down with the x and then tap the 3 bars for the side menu. All othere items are there except music

Can you connect to emby using the web browser on the tablet?

Or is it only not working via the app?

It is doing the same thing using the web browser on the tablet. The server? loads , the advert for Emby Premiere appears, I close that down then tap the 3 bars then tap music, and nothing appears until I select or tap on 'folders'. There I see the music folder, but tapping on it makes no difference.

Also I have it running on my laptop and it has started to do the same thing there as well. When I go to the dashboard and then library, the music folder is there!

Just checked my phone and it is just then same there as well.

It is so frustrating because I know it used to work well and was pleased with it.

Instructions are in the link I gave you. Thanks.

From what I can see, it doesn't look like you have any library paths configured. Try going into the Emby Server dashboard -> Library and ensure that your media folders have been setup there.

There was a music folder there from when I first setup emby server. I deleted it and tried to add it again, but emby cannot see or find the NAS server.

I even added the network path by 192.168.0.3, but still couldn't find the NAS box.

I don't know why this has just happened as it was working fine the other day.

Hi, I would try adding the path back to your emby server library. If you run into a problem, please provide the server log from that time period and we'll take a look. Thanks.

Sounds like its not an EMBY issue, more so a problem with your networking or NAS box

Are you able to login to your NAS box from your laptop or tablet?

In my efforts to try and get the emby setrver to work, I deleted the emby plugin from my NAS box and re installed it. Now I cannot get the plugin to start, so obviously no webserver yet.

Yes I can login to my NAs box on both laptop and tablet no problem, but it does seem to be a problem with the emby plugin:
