plessers@gmail.com 32 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Hello, I had some issues with downloading artist info (see also http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/30387-what-is-the-differenct-between-artist-and-person/) So I decided to remove my whole library from emby and add it again. However, after a full scan, I noticed that my artist library contained the same pictures and artefacts. I removed the library again, and I see that artists even show up in my search results (without having any artist for the moment) Is there a way to delete/cleanup this database? I already runned every sheduled job, but no changes. kind regards, B
ebr 16195 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 You ran the "Clean Database" task and it completed successfully?
Luke 42085 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 for related items that are attached to media, like additional artists, there might be some open issues relating to cleaning them up after deletion. we'll have to review for a future release.
plessers@gmail.com 32 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 Hi @@Luke, What do you suggest for now? Is there a way to clean this information manually? Deleting files on disk? Or do I have to start from a fresh install and rebuild everything?
Luke 42085 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Apart from waiting for us to review, shutting down the server and deleting the library.db file and letting that get rebuilt.
plessers@gmail.com 32 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 auwch. Is that the same as a full reset? Other libraries are reset too? What about local stored cached artwork? Is it re-used when re-scanning my libraries? Or is it downloaded again from the web? In that case, maybe it is preferable to reinstall... ? regards, B
Luke 42085 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 it will just rescan the library. artwork that is already downloaded will still be used. yes you can also reinstall but it's not entirely necessary.
