Does Emby apply any video transcoding if playing directly from the device it's installed on?

I plan on either installing Emby on my NAS (Windows Server). My NAS will be hooked directly into my TV via an HDMI cable. Will there be any transcoding going on? My library consists of mostly full Blu-Ray or 4k content and I don't want any loss in video quality.
