7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Not gonna get a chance to test until later/tomorrow, sorry. No worries
Vicpa 611 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 It is a go on the PC side But I am thinking xb1 is the main concern, Looking and working really nicely 7
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I'm still seeing the huge splash screen Too bad it is transcoding DTS
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Do you wanna test Bitstreaming dts? Can be included in next beta if you have the hardware for it. 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) This is what I'm seeing at startup. It displays correctly the first time, then the screen expands real big. Ignore the colors, it's just the glare from the window and my phone. Edit: I need to learn how to take screen shots with my XB Edited September 10, 2016 by FrostByte
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Do you wanna test Bitstreaming dts? Can be included in next beta if you have the hardware for it. My computer and network can handle it as long as the XB1 can I should be fine
Vicpa 611 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Do you wanna test Bitstreaming dts? Can be included in next beta if you have the hardware for it. Do I get to play too ? My htpc and receiver can handle it 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 It still has a few bugs the PC version has, but navigation is a lot better with this version. I think it would be easier once I get my remote, not sure my wife will want to use the controller much
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Yes, bugs are there, but I think it's more important to get this to store and then fix the lower priority bugs afterwards. 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I didn't know about the 'X' button. That helps a lot 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I don't see any reason not to release it. Unless you want to fix that thing with the splash screen real quick. Looks odd at the beginning

Looks odd at the beginning When fixing that, I will have to test some other stuff as well, so it might not be as simple as that. I do think that it will be a week tops until next release though. 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Ahh, okay. Everything seems simple when you're not the encoder
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) For music is there a way to get to the controls without scrolling through the whole album or playlist? I've got some long ones and the only way I've figured how to get down there is to scroll through all songs to the bottom Edit: this is on the XB1 using the controller Edited September 10, 2016 by FrostByte
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I found that if you go up to the hamburger menu and hold the thumbstick down for a few seconds it jumps down there
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Not yet I'm afraid. Looking into moving the player up to the header instead on xb1 1
Vicpa 611 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) Hi Frostbyte, 7 Maybe you can do something with these mapping like you did for the MCE remote Button Gamepad Remote control A/Select button Yes Yes B/Back button Yes Yes Directional pad (D-pad) Yes Yes Menu button Yes Yes View button Yes Yes X and Y buttons Yes No Left stick Yes No Right stick Yes No Left and right triggers Yes No Left and right bumpers Yes No OneGuide button No Yes Volume button No Yes Channel button No Yes Media control buttons No Yes Here is link easier https://msdn.microsoft.com/windows/uwp/input-and-devices/designing-for-tv Edited September 10, 2016 by Vicpa 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 That may be a good idea. Every time I click "skip" it jumps back out of the now playing bar so I have to navigate back down there using that trick Not yet I'm afraid.Looking into moving the player up to the header instead on xb1
Vicpa 611 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Hey 7 maybe the whole playbar can be set to Visual engagement=true or required whatever it is. As I understand that it will keep you in the control until you want to exit?
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Can you get me screenshot like the one below with a DTS that transcodes and one with DTS HS?
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Hey 7 maybe the whole playbar can be set to Visual engagement=true or required whatever it is. As I understand that it will keep you in the control until you want to exit? It still would be hard to reach when it's at the bottom. I'll look into some platform specific versions I think 1
Vicpa 611 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Here is one I am sure Frostbyte has some as well. How many do you need?
7illusions 1249 Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Mkv + DCA, what other combos do you have?
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 All DTS formats transcode right now. The DTS decoder in all receivers can pull the lossy DTS track from DTS-HD if the system doesn't support DTS-HD. Here is a loss DTS mediainfo though
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I also have some DTS-ES (LoTR, Star Wars and others), codec is still DCA though
