geno27 9 Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 A few versions ago the manual auto organize drop down list stopped working. Hitting the drop down arrow did not populate any list. With one of the recent updates, this function has returned, but now the auto organize list contains movies as well. This has caused my TV shows to be sent to movie folders. For example, last year auto organize had no trouble organizing Scream The TV Series. Now it comes back as unmatched. Both the tv show and the movie are labeled as Scream in my library and are next to each other in the manual auto organize drop down box, making it impossible to know which one is which. I changed the file name from scream the tv series to just Scream. Auto organize picked the file up and moved it, but moved it to the movie folder. I'm not sure what caused all these changes, any help would be appreciated. Log
roberth58 8 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 It looks like you have your movies and tv show in the the same folder/share. If you don't have them mixed then check your library content types, you may have your movie library set as tv. If they are mixed then it will make your life much easier if you separate them into 2 libraries.
geno27 9 Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 I am still experiencing this issue. My movies and Tv shows have always been in separate folders and the content type is labeled correctly. As stated previously, auto organize was correct one day and all mixed up the next. I have even gone as far as removing my movies folder, rescanning, cleaning the database, etc. Yet the auto organize list remains. If the folder content is set to movies, why would auto organize have permission to search and function in that folder in the first place? Does anyone know how to remove entries from the auto organize list or why movies are being populated there? Any help would be appreciated.
Luke 42080 Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 It might just be showing obsolete entries that are stuck in the database. It's something we need to improve in a future release. Thanks.
softworkz 5068 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 What you can do to fix this is delete the database and let it recreate. I've done the two time to remove duplicate entries. But maybe @@Luke can give you some more hints about this procedure and tell you what you would loose by going this way. I don't quite remember all the details.
jordy 284 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 afaik, you don't "lose" anything by deleting the library.db - I have also done it a couple of times now. However, ALWAYS make a copy of it first - just in case. It will generally take a while to rebuild it, dependent on the size of your collection. I always make it an overnight job to avoid any problems.
Luke 42080 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 library.db contains watch data, so if that's something you want to preserve then please see here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/10427-how-to-migrate-emby-server Thanks.
