Bear on the job 0 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 This is a unique situation, and maybe there's no solution...I have 2 HDDs with media, the first one has just reached capacity and I'm starting to put new media on the second drive. Right now I have a TV show that has 4 seasons on the first drive, and the currently airing 5th season is being put on the second drive. The folder structure is like: - <Drive 1> - <Series Folder 1> - <Season 1> - <Season 2> - <Season 3> - <Season 4> - <Drive 2> - <Series Folder 2> - <Season 5> Both <Series Folder 1> and <Series Folder 2> are identified properly as the TV show, but they are separate from each other. So in my TV library in Emby, I have 2 entries for the TV show. If I select one entry, it shows seasons 1-4, selecting the other entry has season 5. Is there any way to merge these items in Emby's organization, so all seasons are shown in a single TV show? (Note: I do have the option of moving the folders around so I only have one <Series Folder> on the second drive, and all <Season> folders are contained within it. But that's not a very good solution because as other TV shows start their new seasons, I will have the same issues again. I also don't want to use the auto-organize feature because I don't think it will solve this issue, and sometimes it messes up the other media servers I have monitoring the same directories)

computerprep 148 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 You might also look into symlinks. Not the easiest to create manually, but I use a handy little tool to create them. Works similarly to a shortcut, but I'll leave the technical jargon for a different time. I'm tired and don't want to mistype the details. Here's a lifehacker article about the tool I'm familiar with. http://lifehacker.com/5530931/link-shell-extension-creates-windows-symlinks-with-ease
