Authorizing or denying specific IPs for a user

Hi everyone,

 

I'm new to Emby and so far very happy about the solution. Great job guys!

 

In my setup, Emby server runs in a Debian VM and I have a reverse proxy for connection from the outside world.

 

I also use Emby Android TV app on a Sony TV. To make it easier for my kids on the TV, there is an Emby user without password (the Android TV app crashes on startup if I use the 'remember login' option).

 

Of course, I'd like to prevent this user to connect from the internet.

 

I couldn't find anything that would allow to specify a list of IP address authorized.denied for a user in the web app but maybe some of you have a brilliant idea on how to do that on the reverse proxy. I can install additional software on the proxy if required.

Hi, welcome. We don't currently have this setting in Emby but there are creative workarounds such as what Night suggested above.
