Updating Artist info with Musicbrainz

I have several collections of albums with various artists as the album artist but the song artist is tagged correctly.  It seems that Emby is very hit or miss with populating this info on a library refresh but if I manually enter the Musicbrainz id for a given artist it works fine.  I was wondering if this was a known issue based on how Musicbrainz ranks the success of a search (i.e. their 1-100 ranking) or if there's a better way to get the artist info updated automatically?  I have over 2k artists in my music library and I'd guess only about 10% of those are correctly updated.

Use a tool like Picard or MP3Tag to tag your songs before letting Emby look at them. Otherwise it is a mess. You can't rely on folder structure.

I use MP3Tag and all of my files are tagged correctly. I just can't get Emby to pickup the artists on these tracks with Various Artists as the Album Artist but the track Artist tagged correctly.
