@@ebr  @@epayson85 Tried it this morning and sad to report on Amazon Fire TV 2015 1.26a hard wired it still transcodes WTV files.

Interesting, well I put my Nexus players on beta so I will be able to try those tomorrow afternoon once I get home.

Do you have the option to bitstream audio turned on?  If so, that is only possible on the Fire using the internal player and will usurp this.

@@ebr Good news to report, turned off bitstreaming as you suggested and it was able to direct play WTV Files!

Just got home and can confirm that its working perfectly on a nexus player even over wireless! The FF / Rewind is so much more responsive now!  With that being said, any chance we can get livetv to not transcode?  I believe the livetv file in the Temprec folder is also WTV.  I selected directplay livetv and force VLC player but it still transcoded.
