Open http stream in MB3 (i.e. VLC stream output)

Hi all

 

Very new to MB3 but was hoping it might solve my biggest headache - finding a media server client that can open VLC stream outputs over a local network.

 

My VLC streams to http://<local IP>:8083/tv.asf - is there any way I can play this stream with a MB3 client?

while the server is capable there is no function exposed that allows you to do this
