Ecotone 0 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I create a "trailer" from a movie to test the emby server. I read the information here https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Trailers. but I cant seem to get it to work. Here is the folder structure I'm using: /Movies /Les Miserables (2012) /trailers Suddenly It's Begun.avi In Metadata Manager it shows "Les Miserables (2012)" but it doesn't seem to recognize the trailers folder or the file in it. What am I missing.
CBers 7450 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 The trailer needs to be called trailer.avi in the trailers folder. You can store them in the movie folder itself, but give it a suffix of "-trailer", such as: Les Miserable (2012)-trailer.avi
Ecotone 0 Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 I tried renaming the file to trailers.avi but emby still just ignored it. I moved the file to the "Les Miserables (2012)" folder and name it :Les Miserables (2012)-trailer.avi" and emby finally recognized it but it show up with the title "Wolverine vs. Gladiator in: Les Miserables" as a movie not a trailer. I can change it's title in the Metadata Manager but there doesn't seem to be a way to change it to a trailer. Emby seem to ignor the trailers folder altogether. Is there something in the emby configuration that I need to set for the trailers folder to be recognized?
Luke 42077 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 what content type did you select when you added the emby library?
Ecotone 0 Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 For the /Movies folder, as you would expect, the type is movies.
