The server is unable to convert media now, it was working after my windows 10 upgrade.  This is preventing Android devices syncing content since it cannot convert new media, so I have some sync jobs as "Cancelled".  It worked until last night at 9:50p....

The 1st failure in the logs:

Hi, can you please attach the complete log file as well as any sync conversion log files? thanks.

I did try to sync a recorded show, which came up yesterday...it did not pick it correctly, so I deleted it.  Not sure if that caused whatever is going on.  The recorded show is still there, but I was not able to sync.  Each time I picked it, it grabbed other shows, including ALL of them (40,000+) at one point, I quickly deleted that sync job.

Thanks.

I did also try deleting the sync job....which worked and deleted the media off my tablet, but it cannot convert it again to sync it..... so I lost it there.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried restart it, re-installing server, re-scanning library....

Thanks.

It's fixed, not ideal.  I remove ALL sync jobs.  Still same error, unable to convert media.  I shutdown the server, went to the "data" directory and moved (didn't delete since I didn't know if it would cause an issue or not), all the "sync*.db" files.  There were 4, (sync6.db, sync10.db, sync 11.db, sync14.db).  I started the server back up, and the problem was fixed.  I added my sync jobs and everything is moving now.  I now have 1 sync14.db file and 2 others that are named the same, but end with "-shm" and "-wal".

Not sure what really caused the issue, but it is fixed, all the sync jobs are resyncing themself back on the device.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Just to confirm is related to that, have you tried syncing the very same files that were falling before?

Yes, there are correctly syncing now.  Even after removing ALL sync jobs it still failed.  I have copied of the 4 files if that helps to examine them to determine if there is a bug/issue.  I can post them if they don't contain any private info....

To be honest, looking at the code, nothing is even opening the older databases so it's possible the fix was coincidental, and whatever the actual problem is could potentially happen again. So let us know if you see it again. Thanks.
