Series not updating to "Ended" status despite having end date

Only noticed this happening recently, but had several now where a TV show has ended, but still shows as "Continuing" in the clients. On checking the metadata it has correctly updated with an end date which is long since passed but the status hasn't been changed from "Continuing" to "Ended"

 

Not sure if this is Emby causing this or a TVDB not updating correctly issue?

 

Not a major issue, as it can be manually changed and updated, but just thought I'd mention it.

the status is a field that comes from the provider, it is not determined based on any dates.

Right, so as suspected, probably TVDB not updating correctly, thanks for the info :)
