Version 3.0.5971.0 update

I just downloaded and installed Version 3.0.5971.0.  After completion my whole server configuration was gone (i.e. libraries, auto organize, users, etc.).  I have to start over and rebuild from scratch.  I just ran the setup.exe that was downloaded.  Was I not suppose to do it that way?  Did I do something wrong?

Hi, welcome. no you did nothing wrong. We would need to look at server logs in order to determine what happened. If they are gone now due to starting over then it will be difficult to figure out. In any event, let us know if you have an issue after re-installing.

Yeah the logs are gone.  What is the normal steps to update?  Should I be using the link and instructions for the portable installation?

for portable just download and unzip on top of your existing install.
