theswordsmahin 1 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 First off, thanks for adding support for video playlists! Loving it! However I'm running into a small issue. I have a video playlist with >1k items and when I shuffle it on Shield Android TV, it seems to only shuffle the first 150 items in the playlist. I'm basing this number based off of how many items in the playlist I can see when browsing it and I'm just assuming these are the only items being shuffled as well. Any thoughts? Thanks!
ebr 16169 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 What practical use is there for a video playlist that large? For now this will be a limitation.
theswordsmahin 1 Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 It's the only way to a play a random episode from any number of TV series. You can shuffle a single a show currently, but you cannot say "play a random episode from any 20 minute comedy". There is something very nice about being able to hit shuffle, and have random episodes play akin to reruns playing on cable. For what its worth, I entirely see your point that it makes no sense to have a video playlist that is 1000+ hours long, but it appears to be the only way to get what I'm after.
Luke 42077 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 the shuffle is actually shuffle all, then limit to 150, right?

Not in this particular case because it is being managed on the client side right now (because there is a client-side video queue). But, I can make it behave that way for server-side playlists which should solve this in his instance.
