how do i know

1. if this can work with emby

2. and which version do i donwload.

Looking at the characters in your model number it appears you have a

 

U= LED

E = Europe

40 = size in inches 40"

F = year 2013

5300 = series

Your tv should be fine (mine was made the same year) to run the latest Emby app version 2.1.3 using the instructions for F models below

just a little niggle.. the theme audio and video doesnt seem to work.. is that normal or that how it it?

Are you referring to the theme music that plays when viewing the info pages for TV series, etc?   Did you change the setting for "Play Audio Theme"?
