Recommended setup for Laptop - two Servers?

I had to upgrade my laptop and i used to run old MB without server.  I have server at home with multiple clients.  With my laptop i use it at home and when i travel and don't have wifi all the time. 

 

What is the recommended setup for a laptop when connected to home network can connect to server but when traveling need local copy of media?

 

Do i install the server on the laptop as well?  Is it possible to have two servers within the same network?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

You would sync the media you want to take with you before you leave using EMBY's Sync feature.

using Emby Theater on Laptop and when i tried to sync through the web interface it says i don't have any apps that support sync

The windows 10/8 store app supports sync

Atm emby theatre requires an internet connection to run anyway so theatre won't even work in your situation anyway
