Convert Media: Any Wiki or Documentation?

I have searched high and low but can't find any documentation on how to select conversion parameters and chose the input and output content/location.

 

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

For the section on Manage Server>Scheduled Tasks>Convert Media. I thought this would give me the option to convert AVI>MP4 or MKV. I was particularly interested if it would convert DVD\VIDEO_TS into MP4 or MKV with a section of original quality or 1080p, 720p.

 

Have I completely misunderstood the purpose of this?

Thanks @@Luke - Yes that explains it nicely. I was looking for something that would take a folder of old AVI movies and convert them in a batch mode. I see I have to install the Folder Sync plug-in for this as well. I'll give it a try!
