rms8 14 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Seem to be having a problem with MBS. I've recently add about a 15 new titles since moving to MBS (vs. MB2). None of the titles are being updated with metadata or pics. I use MCM to get the basic metadata file and a single backdrop and folder image since it renames the folder too. Then I copy this folder over to MBS. When I first installed MBS and added all the HDD's (7 total) it went through all the movies and box sets and added additional images and amended the metadata file for each movie with extra info. The only thing that coincides with this is swapping HDD-7 from a 2TB drive to a 4TB drive. The 4TB drive was named exactly the same and any existing movies on it worked fine. Yesterday I copied over the 15 or so new titles. Before moving them to the server I ran them through MCM to get the folder renamed and the single backdrop and folder image plus the metadata file. I assumed MBS would go through these new folders and add additional images and update the metadata file, just like it did to the library when I i first installed MBS. No dice. I then did a manual refresh from the Metadata Manager to the whole Movie collection, then to just a single new movie folder, but each time it made no additions or updates. I then removed the whole HDD-7 from the library and re-added it and started the scans all over, but still no dice. When I went to MBS from MB2 it automatically went through every folder (even box sets which may be 2-3 folders deep) and added additional images and updated the existing metadata files. Now it seems when I add new movies to the server, it is not performing these same steps, even if I force it manually. What am I not doing right? THX!
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 can you post screenshots of all your metadata settings
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Use the refresh button from the edit page for some of the titles. If there's still no change in metadata check the server log for errors
rms8 14 Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 I tried that before on individual titles, but no change. It's not giving any errors but you think there may still be something in the logs?
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 setup a teamviewer and i'll take a quick look
Solution rms8 14 Posted January 2, 2014 Author Solution Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) I'll dnld & install it today (teamviewer). When would you like to get into it? I've never used tmvwr b4, so let me know if you guys already have a setup procedure I should follow with predetermined logins/password and such. Rob EDIT: I see TV already provides login/pswd. Should I just PM these to you? SOLUTION: Had to set security permissions for HDD in one additional spot. Edited January 2, 2014 by rms8
