fanart, posters, nfo

I don't want all that stuff on my disk like fanart, poster, nfo.  I want to remove this but it seems not possible!!

When I uncheck "download artwork & metadata..." and click on save EMBY don' t saves it!  This is really weird

 

I would like to get rid of all this stuff plse help

I'm using a QNAP TVS871 and tells me i have Version 3.0.5724.6

That is a rather old server version, I would update server first and try changing settings again. 

 

But as a last resort you can modify the system.xml.  Shutdown server and change "<SaveLocalMeta>true</SaveLocalMeta> to false, save and start server.  That should stop saving metadata with media.

 

"download artwork & metadata..." This option stops Emby from getting information from the internet.  You can disable that from the system.xml also if needed. "<EnableInternetProviders>true</EnableInternetProviders>"

 

Not sure where it is on a non-Windows system.  On windows it is located in \Emby-Server\config.

 

You will have to manually remove previously added "fanart, poster, nfo".

 

Current stable/official release is 3.0.5934.0.
