MarcusJ 18 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hello everyone! Question: My movie files are all on a NAS, but I'm not clear at all where my Emby Server library data is located. I assume it is on my local C:/ drive (Windows 10). Is there a way to relocate it onto the NAS. My C: drive is far from being reliable and I fear losing the entire library. Backing the Emby library up to the NAS would be a good fall back strategy, but I would really prefer to move the primary library itself to the NAS. Any guidance would be helpful. Thank you!
dcook 299 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) On the main dashboard, under Paths Here is what mine look like: Cache:C:\Users\svc_emby\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\cache Logs:C:\Users\svc_emby\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\logs Metadata:C:\EMBY\Metadata\metadata Transcoding temporary files:C:\EMBY\Temp\transcoding-temp I assume you have your media library setup to point to a folder on your NAS, so if your computer fails, you will not lose your media library, you will however lose your EMBY configuration, there is a Backup Plugin that lets you backup your Emby configuration also. Thank you dcook for the fast response! I have looked throughout the Dashboard and cannot see the "Paths" you describe. I have to be missing something very obvious... Once I do find them, how do I change them to point to the NAS instead of the C: drive?
MarcusJ 18 Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 Disregard. I found the paths. Now, how do I change them?
