matf 3 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Hi, I recently noticed that the chapter image extraction for my movies was a bit random. Some movies have them, other's don't. I run the Scheduled Task for Chapter Extraction - that seems to run fine but doesn't actually seem to add chapter images even for recent movies. I've ticked the box to extract images during library scan - but I'm assuming that will only work for 'new' movies? So what's the best way to extract the images for existing movies? I appear to have several options, and the only one I can see definitely works is Full Refresh - which given I don't really want to refresh my carefully chosen posters and backdrops, or re-download loads of data, seems a bit over the top. I'd also like to do this in a batch for each of my movie folders, rather than doing each movie individually (600+ movies, about 2 in 10 have chapter images). So: 1) Can I batch grab chapter images? 2) If not, what do I choose - Local Refresh, Missing Metadata, Full Refresh? 3) And just so I understand, what kind of refresh does the refresh option from the item's media page do, compared to doing a refresh from the Metadata Manager? Thanks M Edited April 30, 2016 by matf
Luke 42085 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Just use the refresh button from the detail screen.
matf 3 Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 Thanks Luke, I'm assuming therefore no way to do en masse?
Luke 42085 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Once you've verified that you can then do it from a top level movie folder, but you can also just wait and let the scheduled task take care of it.
