Editing user preferences in recent versions

Am I missing something or has the ability for administrators to edit user preferences been removed recently? I still see the "Disable access to user preferences" checkbox in the user view of the admin panel, but the link to edit their preferences is gone. I wanted to ensure a couple of accounts had their Chromecast transcoding settings on "auto," but can't seem to find it.

it will return in a future release, but keep in mind, that setting is a per device setting so unless that other user is using the exact same browser on the same device, it won't carry over.

Most of those settings are saved in the user profile so they will do what you're expecting, but there are certain settings that really need to be customized on a per device, per connection basis, so that's why they do that.

 

Luckily, the default setting is Auto so you might be in luck.
